Who You Calling a Liar?

Lita's teacher approached me the other day to say that Lita was a storyteller. My first thought was, "Bingo-bongo-bango! My daughter's a liar!? Help me lawd!" But, thankfully, that's not what she meant!

What she meant was that Lita loves to tell stories to an audience. She enjoys retelling elaborate true/or fictional stories, sometimes one she's memorized right out of a book/sometimes one she's imagined on her own, to the entire class. She's not even shy about it! And her teacher was proud of it and asked who she gets that trait from.

*Insert evil laughter* 'Cause we all know the answer to THAT one. I mean, she may look everything like her father but 90% of her personality and BRAIN {yeah I said it, hubby} came from me. And that makes my heart super happy.

So that got me to thinking ... I want to capture MORE of the story of her personality in my layouts. I'd love it to be in a kids story book/illustrative theme AND I want to use products that really focus on fairytales and fantasy. Because that's who my daughter is! And thus these were made (you can click on their titles to see them up close and really personal):

The Girl & Her Horse

This is actually a layout for our Disney album. But I felt the story should be told too. It also uses one of my favorite kits of all time, Fairy Tea Party by Julia Makotinsky. I am in love with Julia's style, darn near everything she creates, because she designs some of the best whimsical and illustrative kits this side of the Mississippi!

The Girl & Her Red Hood

My other page features a kit called Red - The Leader by Kitty Designs who is another fantastic fantasy/illustrative creator. I couldn't live without my Kitty! :D

Mainly, I hope to scrap some of the most memorable 'stories' from the past year. Lita has evolved from a lil' one to a kid. She says and does things that keep me laughing and pulling my hair out. So, I guess I have to evolve a little too in how I capture the story. But with such long stories, I don't want to lose my classic design. So, I created these to help me get my "long journaling" story told:

Scrappable Storyteller Collection One
On sale today for just $1.00!!!

That'd be about it for today. I have a date with my vacuum cleaner and some pledge. Till we meet again ... to scrapbook of course! :D
