This lovely, 25 Days of Templates inspired layout is by Erica, one of the talented members of my creative team. Gorgeous! This template is for Day 2, I believe.

And hey! Today is the last day to sign-up and receive the $5 off early bird registration!

What a wonderful response to this class! Seriously, dudes! I mean dudettes ... we are going to have a really rockin' class session. I've been getting emails left and right and want to address your questions for those still planning out your classes for the remainder of 2009.

Tiffany, will we receive some sort of discount to print our books we make? YES! I am finalizing the details of this partnership today. But the short answer is ABSOLUTELY!

I have Photoshop CS2. In the write up for the class, it lists CS3 or CS4. Will everything work for me? For my write ups, I always list the programs I know will translate 100% from my videos and handouts without issue. Programs like Adobe Photoshop CS2, Elements 6.0 and below will pretty much do everything we discuss in class just with a different set of directions. I will note this in the reference guide and offer a different set of directions when applicable.

I’m really interested in your class and wanted to know if it’s something we have to keep up with on a daily basis? I’m kinda pressed for time at the moment and wondered if we can take it at our leisure. Also, do we get to save and keep the templates? Absolutely, you can take it at leisure. The information at reenepearson.com is available for a life-time. So if you'd like to join the class but actually complete the layouts and videos at a later date, that's perfectly fine!

I was thinking about taking the above class but I’ve never worked with templates – but want to learn, and thought this class would be a good way to do that. Will this class teach me how to work with templates? Yes, this class is perfect for beginning template users. You will receive access to a bonus video tutorial, Beginning Template Scrapbooking on the first day. Any additional tips and techniques are demonstrated via video as well as in a detailed step-by-step PDF guide book. And because you have access to the materials for a life time, you can take your time perfecting each technique and topic.

Can I receive access to the kit and templates before class begins? I would love to, however, I am under a contractual obligation to release all items on December 1st.

I don't have many photos of Christmas as I am Jewish. Are the templates relatable to only Christmas? This class is template based and the templates will help you scrapbook any precious memory you hold dear. The kit contents, quotes, and bonus elements are more Christmas related. No matter how you and your family celebrate the season, I think

No matter how you celebrate the season, this class is first and foremost for template lovers and those who want to record their holiday memories quickly!

That covers most of what I've received. If you have a question I haven't addressed, please holler at me! I'm always happy to converse with a fellow scrappy friend!

25 Days of Templates :: Have You Seen This?

25 Days of Templates FAQ

I have received quite a few questions about 25 Days of Templates. Let's bring everyone up to speed.

What sizes are the templates? You will receive twenty-five 12 x 12 templates. You will also receive twenty-five 8.5 x 11 templates. That's a total of 50 templates! The core design of 8.5 x 11 templates will be similar to the 12 x 12's.

Will you include a cover, back, and spine with the templates? Of course. You will receive two sets, one for the 12 x 12s and one for the 8.5 x 11s.

Is this similar to a December Daily album? Yes and no. You can use the templates you receive to create a chronological album for each day in December. But that's only if you choose to. My holiday album, which will consist of 25 layouts, will detail the holiday season and events, but not in any particular order.

Will the template designs be holiday related? 22 of the 25 templates you receive will work for any page topic, season, or idea you would like to scrapbook. The remaining 3 templates will be holiday related because they include seasonal paper/photo masks. Think "snow."

Is this class suitable for beginning digital scrapbookers? Yes. If you can clip a photo or paper to a layer in Photoshop or Photoshop Elements, then you will be successful using my templates. If you can't, I will teach you.

Is this class suitable for intermediate/advanced digital scrapbookers? Yes. You have the advantage of already knowing how to use a template. So, like my own creative team, I would expect a seasoned scrapper to use the templates as a foundation which you can then customize to fit your style. In addition, I hope to keep you engaged with the photography, digital, inspirational, and page topic videos.

What information will we receive before class starts? Each student will receive a Holiday Plan which you can use to plan your album. Also expect a list of fonts and a link to the video, Beginner's Guide to Using Templates.

Will there be a reference guide or written step-by-step for the videos. Yes. You will receive a daily PDF download of the technique or topic discussed in the video.

Will we see examples of element placements? This is very important to me. Every one creates differently and I don't want my template users to feel that a template will only work if the embellishment is placed ... here. A template design needs to be versatile. That's why I've asked my diverse template team to join in the fun! We will post our complete template layouts each day in the gallery for your design inspiration!

Finally, what's on your holiday menu? I'm having a hard time trying to figure this out! With all this planning you would think I could settle on a dinner. One would think! Do you have any suggestions?

P.S. Did you see the image at the top of this post? It's another template from the class!

25 Days of Templates :: A Giveaway

***comments closed - thank you for participating ***

My holiday class is open for registration! Yeah, baby! Yeah - Austin Powers style. Let me introduce you to the 25 Days of Templates.

The Inspiration

This class was inspired by an article I wrote for the December 2008 issue of Creating Keepsakes. In that issue, I described an annual problem I had around the holidays. Scrapbook? Nope. Homemade gifts? Don't think so. Scrapbooking just took a back seat; a victim to the holiday shuffle.

The year of the article, I created a plethora of home-made gifts using hybrid templates. Now, it's time to mix it up! With a simple holiday scrapbook plan, I'll document at least one daily moment or event each day leading up to Christmas. It's my own creative journey, which is also a holiday spiritual journey for me. By day 25, my holiday album will be full of layouts detailing our best and not so best holiday moments.

The Details

25 elegant and simple digital templates to capture the moments of the season. And you can use them too! Not only that, the class will feature 25 holiday-inspired photography, design, and page topic techniques to keep you engaged and energized. The techniques will be delivered to you via a daily video message separated for Photoshop and Photoshop Elements users. There's a colorful, written PDF companion guide to print and follow along.

What if you're traveling, or you know the hub-bub of the season would make a class a little tough?
Our students at reneepearson.com have access to their registered class information, products, videos, and downloads for a lifetime! Register now. When the class starts, you'll have access to my holiday plan which you can customize for the photos and ideas you want for your album.

With that in mind, spend the holidays enjoying them! Get those photos, jot down your thoughts. Relax knowing you have a plan! Also, take a peek at the videos and messages as time allows. You'll get some great tips to use during the holidays for topics and photography. Then catch up in January, watch a video a day, and use the templates for easy peesy rice and cheesy quick album scrapbooking!

This process gives you the freedom to determine when your 25 days starts!

Templates.

Classic. Timeless. Elegant. Thoughtful. Coordinated. Each day, I will feature in our class gallery a completed layout and interpretation of the daily template. You have the option to work the template as you like or let the interpretation inspire your final layout.

The 25 includes a few single photo, many multi photo, full bleed, and technique infused designs. A bonus cover, back, and spine completes the look for storybook printing.

Supplies.

One of my favorite designers, THE Liz of Paislee Press, created an amazing and very EXCLUSIVE holiday kit for our class! Here is beautiful, sophisticated Adorned.

It has a beautiful subdued color palette and those extra accents that compliment but not overpower holiday photos. Perfection. I am choosing to create my album using this kit. Keeping it simple! Probably will add a few of my own extra goodies ... you'll get those too!

What if you'd like to use your own holiday stash?
That's cool! Use what works for you. You'll get Liz's kit but your album really needs to speak to you. I am a firm believer in ultimate freedom! And fast scrapbooking.

Skill Level.

This is the perfect class for beginners because we have to talk about using layers and becoming familiar with the workspace for you to use the templates effectively. But don't fear my fellow intermediate and advanced template-teers! My holiday plan includes techniques that I'm sure you'll enjoy too.

Etcetera.

During the next week, I'll share some amazing page layouts from my template creative team and invited guests to show off what they can do with the kit, the templates, and the inspiration. And next Monday, November 9th, 2009, I'll give away a seat to my class as well as a gift certificate to Shutterfly to have your album printed.

There'll be a few more giveaways in the upcoming two weeks around the world wide web.

The Cowboys are doing well; the Redskins stink. All is right with the world. But something, and I'm venting here, is irking my nerves:

Yes. It is okay that I, a woman, am obsessed with football. No. It is not OK if you, man, test my obsession by questioning how well I know a team/player's stats!

My fanatisicm is not dictated by how much crap I know about a 5th round draft pick from Alabama. What does the secondary players on the Cowboy's team have to do with my life right now? And I don't give a rats-ass who's on the injured roster on any given Sunday ... unless it's the quarterback, of course. For real ... just play the game!

What I DO care about is yelling at the television every Sunday evening and Monday night. Screaming at people who can't hear me is a favorite pass time. I admit it! Plus, there's a simple satisfaction in knowing that I'm part of the team; a cheerleader. I would look hella fine in a Cowboys cheerleader uniform, though I can't dance to save my life.

And all excuses aside: a man in tight pants with a nice butt sweating it out for more than an hour makes me happy. Very, very happy. Multiply that by 22 and I am in an unquantifiable state of bliss come Sunday night.

Where does that leave us, dear dude? I'm not in your favorite recliner, drinking your beer, and mouthing off why shotgun is better than draw. I'm enjoying the game ... so let me! And be thankful your wife and I aren't trying to over talk the game with scrapbooking stats. THAT is something you DON'T want to hear!

How could you forget to share more layouts? I mean, isn't that what you do? Tiffany

Yes! Kind of weird to forget that!

Here's my rockin' favorite from the Keeping It Real class at the DSE. This layout is so technique heavy! I absolutely enjoyed sharing these tricks and will probably release them shortly to ere'one.

And just because I can't say yes all my life: it's cute when the pep squad, the local high school basketball team, the girl scouts, the fire men (especially the fire men), and any and all stand on the corner flagging me down to have my car washed in the summer. Thanks.

No! It is not cool to do that in the middle of the fall. Please stop doing that. I ain't gonna get my car cleaned; mother nature does it for me. That is all.

All right! Smooches scrap-tacular peeps!

Whoooo. That's right. Whooo. The past month has been a whirlwind for me. A beautiful, banging, blessed twirly-whirly ride of an adventure through the DSE, online classes, and yadda-yadda.

Soooo ... before I get back into the swing of things, I just gotta show off two layouts I used for my Brushes classes.

The Brushshop was really an amazing experience. Loved cyber-meeting all the students, answering questions, chatting. But it was certainly good times. And I can't wait to do it again!

Have a happy Tuesday, scrappy peeps!

It took 30+ hours to write, produce, edit, design, transmit, and print this article. It took me 5 minutes to read it today. And I love it! True ... I'm a bit biased.

CK is offering a free font download of CK Allison. Pick it up! It's one of the fonts featured in the article.
