My Wife is Obsessed with Football

It's football season. The Cowboys are doing well; the Redskins stink. All is right with the world. But something, and I'm venting here, is irking my nerves:

Yes. It is okay that I, a woman, am obsessed with football. No. It is not OK if you, man, test my obsession by questioning how well I know a team/player's stats!

My fanatisicm is not dictated by how much crap I know about a 5th round draft pick from Alabama. What does the secondary players on the Cowboy's team have to do with my life right now? And I don't give a rats-ass who's on the injured roster on any given Sunday ... unless it's the quarterback, of course. For real ... just play the game!

What I DO care about is yelling at the television every Sunday evening and Monday night. Screaming at people who can't hear me is a favorite pass time. I admit it! Plus, there's a simple satisfaction in knowing that I'm part of the team; a cheerleader. I would look hella fine in a Cowboys cheerleader uniform, though I can't dance to save my life.

And all excuses aside: a man in tight pants with a nice butt sweating it out for more than an hour makes me happy. Very, very happy. Multiply that by 22 and I am in an unquantifiable state of bliss come Sunday night.

Where does that leave us, dear dude? I'm not in your favorite recliner, drinking your beer, and mouthing off why shotgun is better than draw. I'm enjoying the game ... so let me! And be thankful your wife and I aren't trying to over talk the game with scrapbooking stats. THAT is something you DON'T want to hear!

I Am ... Overdigified

Credits?

Imagine this if you will. 'Bout two years ago, my main drive was filled to the brim with digi kits, digi pages, and digi photos. Wanna talk about doing it digi? I was digi. I DID digi! I did digi so well, we smoked cigarettes after. Yeah, I said it.

The only plausible solution was to purchase an EHD, external hard drive. See, at the time we didn't purge. We just expanded the space! All it required was more money to purchase more storage which accumulated more stuff. That was the genius behind the American 20th century!

Thankfully, we have an entirely new millennium to correct that genius.

So, I bought that EHD. Two years and 300GBs later, I am again filled to the brim. Don't forget that my main drive is still filled to the brim. Oh that was genius, too. I am now ... overdigified. I haven't patented the term in case you wish to use it.

I'm so ashamed and it's everyone elses fault but mine ... well that's not true. But I love saying it.

It's time, it's well past time, to clean house. Who needs 25,000 + photos anyway? Yeah, you read right. Twenty-five thousand plus photos and that's since Lita's been born. Excess much?

And what about the ole' digital kit purge. Doesn't it just break the heart! I need the circle brush set I purchased in 2005! Sure I haven't used them since 2006 but I like to look at their pretty previews and the 10MB of space they consume. I'm such a sucker for pretty previews.

Whooh! I feel good. I have come clean to the world (wide web) and admitted the flaw. Now, if I could only stop typing (procrastinating) and actually start purging ...

Workaholic? Scrapaholic? Who's Doing the Judging?

Interested in credits?

I am insanely and intensely addicted to scrapbooking. Why, you ask?

  • I have made it my prerogative to scrapbook events, moments, and ideas which I have found important. The fact that any one else finds it important is of no concern.
  • I have continued and will continue to perch myself high above the tree tops to seek out and identify other scrappers who do not know that they are scrappers. And I convert them. Hence my newest convert, Chris, who just today dived into digital scrapbooking. Fisher of wo-men, so to speak?
  • I believe it is my job to scrapbook. Period.
  • I don't really want to do anything else. I do do else. But I don't really want to do do else.

Therefore, it is in an addiction. And I don't plan to attend any meetings about it.

Thank you, for your time.

What the {i}NSD!!!

Yeah, it's {i}NSD a.k.a. International Scrapbook Day ... Christmas (the present portion at least) for every scrapbooker. And I'm headed out in my best Saturday pajamas to do some online digi-goodness shopping. Usually, I'm telling hubby to let me use iNSD purchases as a Mother's Day gift. But this year, I'm prepared and saved some moolah/kablingy from the past few months as a little treat to me. Charrrrrrrge!

Hope to get some scrappin' done tonight with the new goodies. But I did manage to create a new piece last night:

Features goodies from Jen Wilson, CD and my newest Scrappables Template Collection #7. This one is #32 and all of my templates are 30% off today for iNSD. This is my favorite template from the set. :P

And if you're in the mood for a FREEBIE template, I got one here for LDD's Hoopla Template Challenge. You can post any layout created with this template for discount points applied to any LDD purchase before time runs out.

Download that here!

So with new goodies in hand and new templates, iNSD is all about pages which I'm really hungry to finish. Off to it! So what are you still doing hanging around my place? Go get your Betty and Wilma on too.
